The Rockland County AOH is pleased to announce a special guest speaker at this years pre-Parade breakfast, Dr. Ruan O’Donnell. Dr. O’ Donnell is a professor of history at the University of Limerick. He has appeared in many documentaries on the history of the Rising and is the editor of the acclaimed ‘16 Lives‘ series for O’Brien Press. Dr. O’Donnell is himself the author of the last volume of the series on the life of Padraig Pearse which shall be release shortly before our parade. Anyone who has had the pleasure to hear Dr. O’Donnell speak knows what a great experience it is; he combines extraordinary knowledge of his subject with his own innate humor to bring history alive in a most enjoyable manner. This is an opportunity not to be missed.
