I would like to thank all the members who came out to support the Rockalnd County AOH at the NY State Convention. Many of you took time from a beautiful summer Saturday with your family to get up early and ride on a bus to Uniondale, Long Island to vote. Let me assure you that your dedication was noticed and recognized, and you are a credit to Rockland. This was a very important election with many qualified candidates running for the position of NY Treasurer; more often than not the person elected treasurer will be the future New York State President; Rockland made its voice heard through your efforts. Special thanks to Cy Hughs for organizing the bus and Mike Mulcahy for coordinating refreshments for the ride.
I would also like to congratulate Dermot Moore on being elected to the position of District 8 Director, an important position that I know Dermot will be successful in.
