Mission Accomplished: Commodore John Barry Memorialized at the Naval Academy

May 11, 2014 By Administrator

Commodore John Barry Memorial, Annapolis
The Commodore John Barry Memorial inside the Barry Gate at Annapolis

Mission Accomplished: John Barry, Wexford immigrant, Hero of the Continental Navy, First Officer of the United States Navy finally memorialized at the Naval Academy.  Proper recognition of Barry and his service, symbolic of so many Irish American Catholics, has been an AOH goal for over a hundred years.  This would not have been possible without the Membership and their support to keeping alive the tradition for future generations.  You should all be proud
