We are pleased to announce that the Rockland County Ancient Order of Hibernians will be hosting our third annual Ceol Mór Festival which will include a pipe and drum competition on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at the Rockland GAA fields in Orangeburg, N.Y. We cordially invite you to join us for a complete day of competition with individual piping and drumming competition for players at all levels in the morning followed by band competitions for Grades 2–5 in the afternoon. Anyone who attended last year will testify to the beautiful facilities that we have the available courtesy of the Rockland GAA, including access to their Air Condition clubhouse lounge. Individual competitions will begin at 9:00AM followed by band competitions at 12:30PM. Competitions will conclude with the spectacle of a march by the massed bands.
Great food and refreshments will be available throughout the day under the GAA’s covered pavilion and there is a beautiful playground for the children. Admission is only $15.00 with children 12 and under free.
Ceol Mór is a festival run “by pipers, for pipers.” This competition is sanctioned by E.U.S.P.B.A. We are always looking for more feedback from you on what we can do to make this competition as unique and as player-friendly as possible and welcome all ideas, suggestions, and comments.
