Each year the start of the St. Patrick’s Day season begins with the Rockland County Emerald Ball and once again, the Rockland County Mens’ and Ladies’ Ancient Order of Hibernians invite you to support this special event. The Emerald Ball is a night to celebrate our Irish heritage with great friends, food, music, and also serves as the primary fundraiser for the Annual Rockland County St. Patrick’s Day Parade. We hope you will join us at this year’s Ball on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Pearl River Hilton at 7 p.m. As always, we will honor individuals who distinguish themselves through their actions and personify our motto of “Friendship, Unity & Christian Charity.” As such, we are proud to announce the 2026 honorees:

• Hibernian of the Year, Mary O’Mahony Mulcahy
• Businessperson of the Year, Chris Vergine, Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home
• Parade Commander, Sgt. Colleen Fitzpatrick, New York City Police Dept.
• Grand Marshal, Patrick Withers
• Aide to the Grand Marshal, NYC, Daniel J. Mulligan

It is with that in mind that we, the AOH, ask you to take an ad in our Emerald Ball Journal. By taking an ad in the journal, you will aid the AOH in staging an event that offers free and safe family fun for thousands of members of our community. The Emerald Ball is a very enjoyable night for all that attend, and it represents the AOH at its finest hour. At the same time, it is also the primary fundraiser for the Rockland County St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The cost of running the parade is quite substantial, and every year, as with everything, the expenses rise. In closing, the Rockland County AOH and its membership would like to thank you in advance for your support, and we look forward to seeing you on parade day, St. Patrick’s Day, March 22th, 2026.
